How To Start?
If you find it difficult to start with the first step, a good trick to improve your health is to find some activity you enjoy doing. Whether it is a friend to work out with or a simple walk along the river embankment, just get moving.
1. Take It Slow
If you are completely new to this or have not been active for the last couple of years, start out slow. You can start out with small sessions of only ten or fifteen minutes. As time goes on and you get stronger, you can gradually increase session length.
2. Get Your 30
The whole point is to increase the length of your activity to 30 minutes each day. Several trial research pointed out that 30 minutes of exercising is enough to maintain your health, so you can also start with three ten minute sessions.
You can even divide these tree sessions through the day:
- the first ten minutes of activity could be dancing before lunch or work
- ten minutes of walking after lunch
- and the last ten minutes can be reserved for stretching when you get home
